I'm reading The Final Warning. It's a book that is apart of the Maximum Ride series. It's, I think the fourth book. It's pretty interesting. :]

Honors English 10 students participated in the North Country Reads selection - The Language of Baklava. The author, Diana Abu-Jaber, is originally from Syracuse, NY. This memoire is of growing up in an Arab-American home between the Upstate NY area and Jordan. Food and cooking is the binding element of her family. It is a fun quick read, that focuses more on the author's youth, which I believe many teens can relate to.
As a bonus, Honors 10 students also had the opportunity to listen to Ms. Abu-Jaber speak about her book, and ask her questions about her writing and her life. The Language of Baklava is available in our library. I also have two extra copies which anyone is welcome to borrow (Room 222.
